67th Annual Novena to be held October 19th through the 28th.

The 67th Annual Novena in honor of Saint Jude will be held at Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish (St. Mary, Help of Christians Church), 535 North Main Street, Pittston, from Saturday, October 19th through Monday, October 28th. There will be two services daily.

Mass, followed by novena prayers and veneration of the relic of St. Jude, Patron Saint of Hopeless Cases and Things Despaired Of will be celebrated Mondays through Fridays at 12 Noon and at 7:00 p.m., Saturdays at 12 Noon and at 4:00 p.m., and Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited before all services and Confessions will be heard prior to all services, except on Sunday.

The following guest homilists are scheduled for the novena:  Father Gregory Finn, OSJ, Monsignor Joseph Quinn, Monsignor John Bendik, Father Sam Ferretti, Father Michael Boris, Monsignor John Jordan, Father Paul McDonnell, OSJ, and Father Joseph Elston. Bishop Joseph C. Bambera, Bishop of Scranton will celebrate the Noon Liturgy on Monday, October 24, 2022.

Rev. Richard Polmounter, Pastor of St. John Bosco, Conyngham and Sacred Heart of Jesus, Westin will celebrate the Closing Liturgy at 12 Noon on October 28, 2022, while Father Paul McDonnell, O.S.J., Sacramental Minister at Our Lady of the Eucharist will celebrate the Closing Liturgy at 7:00 p.m.

We will be celebrating the 63rd Annual St. Jude Novena from October 19-28, 2020.

There will be two Masses a day: Monday- Friday at 12 Noon and 7PM, Saturday at 12 Noon and 4PM, and Sunday at 11AM and 5PM.

The 12 Noon Mass will be live-streamed each day.

Most of the homilists are in place: Fathers Ryan Glenn, Jonathan Kuhar, Thomas Maloney, Paul McDonnell OSJ, Kevin Miller, Gerald Shantillo, Shawn Simchock, Jeffrey Walsh, and Seth Wasnock.

Bishop Joseph Bambera will celebrate the Closing Liturgy at 12 Noon on October 28, 2020. We will be following Diocesan Directives with regard to mask wearing and social distancing.
