About the grief support group
The grief support group at the Cathedral of Saint Peter provides support to people in our community who are grieving the loss of a loved one. We are frequently reminded of the reality of death, and our Christian responsibility to offer some degree of comfort to those who mourn.
Our ministry is managed by a small group of dedicated individuals who have been exposed to death and dying in their own lives. They have received instruction on the grief support group process and have a special empathy which is required when dealing with bereaved persons.
The grief support group will work through a series of topics to help you understand the grief process and to find healing.
The Grief Support Group will meet on:
May 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th September 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th They are on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30.All meetings take place at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, 330 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton.
