St. John the Evangelist Parish, 35 William Street in Pittston, is holding Lenten Food Sales on all Fridays in March, including Good Friday, with pickup from 4 to 5:30 PM in the Msgr. Bendik Pastoral Center on Church Street. This year we are selling potato pancakes (3 for $5) and take-and-heat haluski ($7 a quart). On March 22 and 29 only, we will be selling nut and lekvar (prune) rolls from Kieran's Bakehouse in Plains ($7/half and $14/whole).
