Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston Lessons and Carols originated in Truro, England on Christmas Eve in 1880. It is a service of scripture and supporting carols that retells the Christian’s story of faith from the fall of Adam to the birth of Christ. In 1918 it was adapted by the King’s College Chapel in Cambridge and broadcast by the BBC. From there it has spread throughout the world.
