School Volunteer

Requirements for School Volunteer:

As per Pennsylvania State Law, volunteers are not allowed to provide service until ALL of their clearances are on file with the Diocese.

1. PA State Police Criminal History Check
2. PA Child Abuse History Certification
3. Volunteer Affidavit or Volunteer Affidavit in Spanish if volunteer has lived in Pennsylvania for the past 10 years OR FBI Federal Check with Fingerprinting if volunteer has NOT lived in Pennsylvania for the past 10 years SERVICE CODE: 1KG6ZJ
4. Signed Code of Pastoral Conduct  or Signed Code of Pastoral Conduct in Spanish
5. Safe Environment Training
   • VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children Program
   • VIRTUS Mandated and Ethical Reporter Training
     • Instructions on how to register: English or Spanish

In addition to above, Volunteer Coaches require (renewed annually):

1. Certificate of Completion for Concussion Awareness
2. Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form
3. “Save a Life: Recognizing & Responding to Anaphylaxis” Training through FARE

Background Checks are valid for FIVE (5) years.

Mandatory Safe Environment Continued Training is completed on your online VIRTUS account once a school year.
