College Students/Young Adults:

  • For Men (18-40)
    • Project Andrew Dinner, an opportunity to connect with Bishop Bambera, seminarians and other men for a meal and conversation. This event is held during the Christmas season.
    • Men’s Discernment Retreat, a weekend retreat with priests and seminarians of the Diocese of Scranton to learn more about a vocation to the Diocesan Priesthood.
    • Seminary Visits, you can schedule a visit to the seminary at any time by reaching out to Father Alex Roche.
  • For all college students/young adults (18-40)
    • Parish involvement (Youth Adult Ministry, Sacristan, Music Ministry, CCD Teacher/Aide, Vacation Bible School, volunteer at parish fundraisers, etc.)
    • Leave a Mark, a gathering of the young church with Bishop Bambera to kickoff National Vocation Awareness Week in the Diocese of Scranton. The gathering consists of Mass in the Cathedral of Saint Peter at 5PM followed by an interactive reception in the Diocesan Pastoral Center. This is usually held the first Sunday in November. (2024 Date- November 3rd)
    • Eucharistic Adoration, the evening incudes a speaker, music, the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and a social (First Thursday of the month 7pm at St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin).

    • World Day of Prayer for Vocations, an opportunity to pray for an increase in vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life in our parishes and schools. A Diocesan Celebration is held with Bishop Bambera in one of the four Episcopal regions.
    • Young Adult Retreat The retreat will include interactive presentations, small group discussion, Eucharistic Adoration, optional Spiritual Direction, Mass, opportunity to connect with other young adults, and more!
    • Theology On Tap, an evening at Sabatini’s Bottleshop in Exeter with a guest speaker, pizza, and your beverage of choice. You must be 21 and older to attend. $8 cover charge for pizza and soft drinks. Contact the Office for Parish Life at 570-207-2213 for a list of upcoming dates!
