During Lent, the Cathedral of Saint Peter is offering several ways in which the faithful can deepen their relationship with Jesus and come to know him in a more intimate way.

On Fridays, the Stations of the Cross are prayed following the 12:10 p.m. Mass and Novena to Saint John Neumann.

The Stations will air live on CTV on Feb. 28 after the 12:10 p.m. Mass, and then on succeeding Fridays at 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

During the Sundays of Lent, from March 1 through Palm Sunday, April 5, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will continue to be held at the conclusion of the 5 p.m. Sunday Mass at the Cathedral.

Evening Prayer and Benediction begin at 6:30 p.m.

A series of Lenten Gospel Reflections will be presented by Monsignor Dale Rupert, pastor of the Cathedral, on Wednesdays during Lent (March 11-April 1) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Cathedral Church.

In order to gain a deeper understanding of the Gospel passages of Lent, Monsignor Rupert will offer spiritual reflections on the following Scriptural accounts of Jesus’ life and ministry: “The Temptation of Jesus,” “The Transfiguration,” “Jesus and the Samaritan Woman,” “The Healing of the Blind Man,” and “The Raising of Lazarus.”
