May 24, 2026
Gate of Heaven All Class School Reunion will be held on Sunday, May 24th. Please attend Mass at 9am, to be followed by a tour of the school with coffee and donuts, ending with a “Backyard BBQ” at the Apple Tree Terrace from Noon to 3pm. The cost per person for the reception is $30 which includes gratuity, cash bar will be available. The reception is for adults only. Please RSVP with payment by May 1. Sacred Heart Polish Picnic in Dupont: Fr. Petro and the parishioners of Sacred Heart Church invite you to attend their annual picnic on the church grounds, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont. It will be held June 27, from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Food offerings include homemade pierogi, golombki (pigs in the blanket), halushki, kielbasi, placki (potato pancakes) and more. This picnic offers delicious ethnic foods, theme baskets, and games of chance.

Good Shepherd Summer Festival

Good Shepherd Church, 87 South Hunter Highway in Drums, will hold its annual Summer Festival July 10 (5-10 p.m.), July 11 (1-10 p.m.) and July 12 (1-7 p.m.) on the parish grounds.
Entertainment includes North of 40 (July 10 from 6-9:30 p.m.), New Arrival (July 11 from 1-4 p.m.), ALV Karaoke and DJ Services (July 11 from 4-6 p.m.), Kartune (July 11 from 6:30-10 p.m.), Tommy Molinaro (July 12 from 1-3 p.m.), and The Legends (July 12 from 3-6:30 p.m.).
The festival features all of your food and beverage favorites including empanads (new this year), chicken fingers, haluski, halupki, sausage and pepper hoagies, pierogies, potato pancakes, pulled pork, steak hoagies, funnel cakes, beer, and wine coolers. There will be games for kids and adults, tricky tray, raffle ticket, and instant bingo chances on sale, and face painting by The Magical Paint Brush.

Parish picnic at the Wilkes Barre Township Settlement Camp from noon until dusk. In addition to all the traditional picnic food and drink, there will be swimming and boating in the lake, and recreational activities on the baseball field and basketball court.

Moscow Country Street Fair “Hometown Roots and Cowboy Boots” will celebrate 10 years of bringing Music, Art, and Culture and Fun to downtown Moscow. St. Catherine of Siena Parish will host their much anticipated Donations Only Rummage Sale and their Ethnic Food Tent featuring halupki, Kielbasi, haluski, and many other options.

Sunday September 27th, the annual GOH Birthday Tea will be held at Apple Tree Terrace from 12pm-3pm. In honor of the 75th Anniversary, we will have “The Way it Was”. Each table will have a monthly theme, basket raffles and entertainment by Changing Habits. Tickets will be $35 a person, and there will be a cash bar.
