ORDER OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK AND OF THEIR PASTORAL CARE
The new English edition of the Order of the Anointing of the Sick and of their Pastoral Care, 1972 Typical Edition, has been published and may be used in the Liturgy as of February 11, 2026, the memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes. Its use is obligatory as of April 5, 2026, Easter Sunday. From that date forward, no other English translation of the rite may be used in the dioceses of the United Staes of America.
