Now Hiring: Assistant Cook (Part-Time)

St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Cook to join our team!

If you have a passion for preparing nutritious meals, enjoy working in a team environment, and want to make a difference in your community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with daily kitchen operations
  • Help prepare 100–275 meals per service
  • Train and support staff and volunteers
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Step in to help lead when the Chef is unavailable

 

Minimum Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2–5 years of food service experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety (ServSafe required or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Schedule:

Part-time (20–26 hours/week) with some evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
