We invite you to join us in Get Up and Pray: A Holy Thursday Prayer Challenge! “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” Luke 22:46
On Holy Thursday, Catholics are asked to pray in a special way for priests and seminarians to commemorate the night Christ instituted the priesthood. This Holy Thursday, we’re inviting you on a prayer journey and asking you to share that journey with us on social media.
Here’s a list of steps to take: 1. Assemble a group of family, friends, or fellow parishioners in your area to visit the Altar of Repose in as many churches as you can. 2. Look for the “Add Yours” Sticker on our Instagram stories @Scrantonvoc Thursday night 3. Use the sticker to share your photos from the evening and let us know which priests/seminarians/vocations you’re praying for!
