Requirements for Minor Employee (Youth under age 18) that have contact with children:

Background checks must be processed under EMPLOYMENT

  1. PA State Police Criminal History Check (Please pick “Employment” for Purpose of Request)
  2. PA Child Abuse History Certification (Please pick option that starts with “Individual 14 years of age or older who is applying for or holding a paid position as an employee with a program, activity or service, as a person responsible for the child’s welfare or having direct contact with children…”)
  3. Minor Employee Affidavit if employee has lived in Pennsylvania for the previous 10 years OR FBI Federal Check with Fingerprinting if employee has NOT lived in Pennsylvania for the previous 10 years SERVICE CODE: 1KG756
  4. Signed Youth Code of Conduct

Requirements for Minor Employee (Youth under age 18) that have NO contact with children:

  1. Sterling Background Check processed through the Safe Environment Office
  2. Signed Youth Code of Conduct

Background Checks are valid for FIVE (5) years.

Safe Environment Protecting God’s Children Training is NOT completed by minors (youth under the age 18).
