Good Shepherd Church Summer Festival
Good Shepherd Church, 87 South Hunter Highway in Drums, will host its Summer Festival Saturday, July 13 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 14 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The festival features everyone’s favorite summer festival foods, including potato pancakes, steak and cheese hoagies, sausage and pepper hoagies, haluski, halupki, pierogies, meatball hoagies, and ice cream, as well as soda, beer and wine.

Activities include games for kids and adults, face painting, tricky trays, raffles, a baked sale and more. Saturday’s festivities will be capped off by a fireworks display.

St. Joseph Marello Parish Summer Picnic
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday July 18, 19, and 20 from 5pm to 10pm each night on the Parish Grounds, located on 237 William St in Pittston

Delicious food will be featured, including picnic traditions and ethnic favorites, such as potato pancakes, pierogi, pasta fagioli, tripe, clams, cannoli, and pizza fritta.

Live music will be presented each night with Sweet Pepper and the Long Hots on Thursday (preceded by a performance from Broadway on the Boulevard Dancers), Flaxy Morgan on Friday (preceded by a performance from Masters Athletic Elite Tumble and Cheer), and The Fab Three on Saturday.

Fun and games will be on the grounds, including a large indoor flea market, Bingo, a money wheel, Big Beautiful Basket Raffles, and Red, White, and Blue Basket Game of Chance.

Most Precious Blood Parish will be celebrating the feast of La Madonna del Monte
on August 9, 10, 11, 2019.

We will celebrate our beautiful, annual recognition of the Blessed Mother through spiritual observances including the week long novena, Mass, and Procession followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto.

The Crystal sale, Tricky Trays, Cash Raffle, and Calendar Lottery will be held just as in times past as well as the commemoratives placed in the bulletin; grotto candle sale; and our traditional pasta dinner. This year we are providing food and beverages.

Come join us for the Festival Food Nights on Friday, August 9th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 10 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for pasta fagioli, haluski, meatball sandwiches, pierogies, sausage and pepper sandwhiches, porketta,  fried dough, hot dogs, pizza, bruschetta and potato pancakes, while previewing our famous Tricky Trays. Along with our great food there will be cannoli and other baked goods for sale.

August 11th, we will have our full course Pasta and Meatball Dinner, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., eat in or take out.
