Queen of the Apostles Parish 
Lackawanna County Heritage Fair

May 29  thru June 2, 201 9
Queen of the Apostles Parish is proud to be a part of the 1st Lackawanna County Heritage Fair which will be held from May 29th thru June 2nd on Montage Mountain. Gates open at 12:00 Noon each day.

This fair will be like no other! It’s focus is to celebrate our ethnic, diverse culture and history. Over 100 vendors will be on hand with all types of food, educational information, jewelry and items that celebrate the diverse area we live in.  We will have a make your own Strawberry Shortcake Stand. Tickets for the Fair are available after all of the masses, or through  the Parish Office.

Admission is $10.00 which includes Free Parking, Entertainment, Water Slides, Rides, and all Exhibits. Children under 2 are Free.

Pre-Sale Tickets for the Shortcake Stand are $3.00 or $4.00 at the Fair. Go to the website lackawannacountyfair.com for more information. All proceeds from the Shortcake Stand go directly to our Parish, and $2.00 from
each ticket we sell goes back to us as well. Please come out to support us!

Good Shepherd Church Summer Festival
Good Shepherd Church, 87 South Hunter Highway in Drums, will host its Summer Festival Saturday, July 13 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 14 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The festival features everyone’s favorite summer festival foods, including potato pancakes, steak and cheese hoagies, sausage and pepper hoagies, haluski, halupki, pierogies, meatball hoagies, and ice cream, as well as soda, beer and wine.

Activities include games for kids and adults, face painting, tricky trays, raffles, a baked sale and more. Saturday’s festivities will be capped off by a fireworks display.

Most Precious Blood Parish will be celebrating the feast of La Madonna del Monte
on August 9, 10, 11, 2019.

We will celebrate our beautiful, annual recognition of the Blessed Mother through spiritual observances including the week long novena, Mass, and Procession followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto.

The Crystal sale, Tricky Trays, Cash Raffle, and Calendar Lottery will be held just as in times past as well as the commemoratives placed in the bulletin; grotto candle sale; and our traditional pasta dinner. This year we are providing food and beverages.

Come join us for the Festival Food Nights on Friday, August 9th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 10 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for pasta fagioli, haluski, meatball sandwiches, pierogies, sausage and pepper sandwhiches, porketta,  fried dough, hot dogs, pizza, bruschetta and potato pancakes, while previewing our famous Tricky Trays. Along with our great food there will be cannoli and other baked goods for sale.

August 11th, we will have our full course Pasta and Meatball Dinner, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., eat in or take out.

Our Social Concerns/Respect Life Ministry will hold their annual Fall and Holiday Craft Show

We are currently seeking vendors and crafters to fill our spaces. Cost for a space is $25.00 for an 8 foot spot, or $40.00 for a double space.
