St. John the Evangelist Parish, 35 William Street in Pittston, will host its first-ever Meditative Music Series on three Fridays during Lent.  Come to listen and pray as local musicians offer music fitting for the Lenten season beginning at 4:45 PM on Fridays, March 1, 8, and 15 in St. John the Evangelist Church.  The series will include guitarist Ed Sankus on March 1, violinist Lynn Hurst accompanied on piano by parish music director Michael Sowa on March 8, and organ music by Michael Sowa on March 15. Following the programs of music on these Fridays, all are invited to remain for Stations of the Cross beginning at 5:30 PM.
