St. Francis Commons – Scranton

St. Francis Commons is located in Scranton Pa. This is a 30 Single room Occupancy specialized Veterans program and building. It is a rent restricted for homeless Veterans.

 

VA PSHP – Throughout Lackawanna County

Sponsored through HUD, the program secures eight scattered-site, one-bedroom apartments for male and female Veterans with a disabling condition, who have been chronically homeless.  The VA PSHP program assists with apartment rental costs, and provides ongoing case management and supportive services.  The primary goal of the program is to assist participants to remain in permanent housing, while increasing self-sufficiency and maximizing the ability to live independently.

 

Luzerne County

St. Hedwig’s Veterans Village – Kingston

Catholic Social Services obtained the former St. Hedwig’s School in Kingston and reconfigured it into (10) one-bedroom apartments and (2) two-bedroom apartments designed for veterans and their dependent families.  Additionally, a full range of supportive services will be provided by C.S.S. to the veterans as well as helping them find jobs, educational, recreational, and other opportunities within the community.

Pike County
