Diocese of Scranton Chancery Building Will Re-Open on
Thursday, July 8th

Following a water leak that resulted in the closing of the Diocese of Scranton Chancery Building at 300 Wyoming Avenue in Scranton today (July 7), Diocesan officials announced late this afternoon that the Chancery building will re-open tomorrow, July 8.

The Diocese decided to close the building and send their employees home when they learned that the building’s water supply had to be shut off earlier today.

The damage was minimal and only affected a few offices in one part of the building.  Clean up efforts progressed so well today, that all Diocesan offices in the Chancery will be able to resume their normal working hours Thursday.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue our efforts to get our offices up and running.
