The third annual Diocesan Catholic Men’s Conference will be held on Saturday, May 6, at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. The theme is “Be A Man: Mary’s Call to Battle,” inspired by this year’s centenary celebration of Our Blessed Mother’s appearances at Fatima.
More than 1,000 men from throughout the Diocese are expected to attend. They will have the opportunity to participate in Eucharistic adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, share meals and fellowship, attend Mass celebrated by Bishop Joseph C. Bambera, and listen to a trio of outstanding speakers: Father Andrew Apostoli, CFR, Steve Ray and Matt Fradd.
Father Apostoli is a founding member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, and has been teaching and preaching retreats and parish missions for several decades. He is considered one of the world’s foremost experts on the apparitions at Fatima.
He is the author of numerous books, including Following Mary to Jesus and Walk Humbly With Your God.
Father Apostoli is the vice-postulator for the cause for the canonization of Archbishop Fulton Sheen. A frequent presence on EWTN television, he hosted the TV special “Our Lady of Fatima and the First Saturday Devotion.” He also hosted a three-part series on Fatima on Catholic TV. Matt currently lives (and surfs) in Southern California with his wife and three children where he currently works as an apologist and speaker with Catholic Answers. Learn more about Matt by visiting mattfradd.com.
