Summer Course: How to Build Parish Social Concerns
and Pro-Life Committees

David Clarke, Diocesan Director of Social Concerns/Pro-Life Ministry, will present a continuing education course this summer on “How to Build Parish Social Concerns and Pro-Life Committees.”

The course will be presented during three weekly (Tuesday) meetings on July 21, 28 and Aug. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Diocesan Center in Scranton.

Participants will learn the necessary skills for managing and coordinating committees in order to keep them up and running.

Serving as a foundation to the work of the committees, the sessions begin with an overview of Catholic Social Teaching.

Subsequent sessions will include public information and education, pastoral care for those in need, public policy, and prayer and worship.

Course fee is $30. To register, call the Diocesan Parish Life Office (570-207-2213, ext. 1107).
