The
Adoption:
A Choice for Life Committee and
the Diocese of Scranton will
mark National Adoption Month with a
special liturgy on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at
5:30 p.m. at St. Ann’s Basilica in
Scranton. Bishop Emeritus James C.
Timlin will be the principal celebrant
and homilist. The public is invited to
attend.
Adoptive parents,
adoptive children and committee members
who include professionals working in the
field of adoption will serve as lectors
and gift bearers for the liturgy. The Adoption:
A Choice for Life Committee is
comprised of area child advocates who
promote educational efforts on behalf of
adoption as a means to help prevent
child abuse, as a viable alternative to
abortion, and to support the basic right
of a safe and loving home for every
child. |
