The Office of Facilities Manager is
responsible for managing the overall plant
maintenance and operations at the diocesan
administrative facilities. The Facilities
Manager oversees the performance of
maintenance and custodial tasks, coordinates
renovations and required repairs, and
maintains a comprehensive management plan
for these facilities. The Manager also works
in conjunction with the Diocese third party
administrators on implementing safety
programs, conducting safety inspections, and
ensuring compliance with the State regarding
boiler inspections. The Facilities Manager
functions as the Designated Asbestos
Coordinator facilitating and directing the
asbestos programs throughout the Diocese.
The Facilities Manager is also part of the
Diocesan Building Commission.
The Office of Facilities Manager provides
advice and consultation to both parishes and
schools throughout the Diocese in order to
ensure pastors and school administrators
meet their facilities management needs. The
Facilities Manger assists in determining
needs and priorities as well as advising
pastors and school administrators on types
of trades or professionals needed in order
to help them address the facility issues
that have been identified. The Facilities
Manager oversees major renovation projects
at Diocesan facilities in conjunction with
engineers, architects, and construction
managers.
