Enthronement Guild to Host Holy Hour

The second annual Mass and Holy Hour hosted by the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart Guild will be held at St. Maria Goretti Parish at 2 p.m. on Nov. 26 in honor of the Feast of Christ the King.

Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Carbondale, will conduct the Holy Hour immediately after the Mass and offer his reflections on devotion to the Sacred Heart in his talk entitled “Christ’s Love: The Heart of the Matter.”

The Mass will be concelebrated by Father Dan Toomey, spiritual moderator of the Guild, and Monsignor Quinn.

The combined youth group of St. Rocco and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Pittston and St. Anthony in Exeter , under the direction of Oblates of St. Joseph Father, the Very Rev. Paul McDonnell, will conduct a crowning in honor of Jesus as Christ the King during Mass.

The Enthronement of the Sacred Heart Apostolate works to bring awareness to Catholics regarding the enthronement of homes to the Sacred Heart, which enables families to offer devotion and seek the protection of Jesus and Mary within their home environment. Further information on enthronement may be obtained by contacting Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister Celesta Sinisi, sister moderator, at the Enthronement Guild office at 330-0248, or by accessing the Enthronement website at www.enthronement-sh.org.

All are invited to attend this special celebration and Holy Hour.  Refreshments will be provided in the Parish Center afterwards.
