Associate Deputy for Ecumenical and
Interfaith Relations
The Episcopal Church (USA)
Since 2001 Tom Ferguson has been the
Presiding Bishop's Associate for Ecumenical
and Interfaith Relations. As part of
his work, Dr. Ferguson provides staff
support for the Episcopal Church's bilateral
dialogues with the Moravian Church, the
Presbyterian Church, and the United
Methodist Church, as well as serving on the
commission which oversees the full communion
relationship between the ELCA and the
Episcopal Church. Dr. Ferguson has
also served on the National Council of
Church's Interfaith Relations Commission and
the Faith and Order Commission.
Tom received his Master of Divinity
degree from Yale Divinity School and a
Master of Theology degree from Holy Cross
Greek Orthodox School of Theology. His
Ph.D. in historical theology is from the
Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley,
California, and in 2005 his dissertation
"The Past is Prologue: the Revolution
of Nicene Historiography" was
published.
Dr. Ferguson is married to Shannon Kelly, an
Episcopal priest. They have one son,
Malcolm, and two Basset hounds.

Proceed North to Harrisburg and onto U.S.
Interstate 81. Proceed North on 81 and
exit at 188 (old exit 55) . . . then . . .
From the West:
Proceed East on U.S. Interstate 80.
At intersection with U.S. Interstate 81,
proceed North, and exit at 188 (old exit 55)

From the East:
Proceed West on U.S. Interstate 80 or
U.S. Interstate 84. At intersection with
U.S. Interstate 380, proceed West on I-380.
At intersection with U.S. Interstate 81,
proceed North and exit at 188 (old exit 55)

Proceed South on U.S. Interstate 81 and

From U.S. Interstate 81, exit 188 (old
exit 55): follow direction signs at end of
the exit ramp toward Dunmore. (If you are
traveling North on 81, make a left at the
light on the O’Neill Highway, which
becomes Blakely Street). Follow Blakely
Street to traffic light at Drinker Street.
Turn right onto Drinker Street which merges
with Electric Street. Proceed to second
traffic light. At this intersection, turn
right onto North Washington Avenue, and
proceed 4 blocks. At third stop sign, turn
right onto Seminary Street. Proceed up the
hill to the next stop sign.
Turn left onto Adams Avenue and proceed
to Nazareth Hall parking lot (on your
right).
