Who directs Camp St. Andrew?

The Executive director is Monsignor Joseph P. Kelly, who has been a part of Camp St. Andrew for nearly forty years.

 

Who is the Resident Director?

The resident director is Eric Lawson.  This is Eric’s second year as resident director. A 1987 graduate of Hanover Area High School, Eric was a three year starter, a two time all-scholastic, voted the

1987 most outstanding player in the Wyoming Valley Basketball Conference and accumulated 1,187 total career points.  He continued his athletic career playing for the Wilkes University Colonels where he was voted team captain in 1991 and earned all MAC and ECAC honors in both athletics and academics.  He holds a B.S. Degree in Psychology and a M.S. in Education, both from Wilkes University.  Eric is an 11 year veteran middle school classroom teacher in the Crestwood School District, Mountaintop, PA... he is currently pursuing his Pennsylvania principals certification through Bloomsburg University.  Eric has coached basketball in the Crestwood School District for ten years as a 7th, 8th and 9th grade coach.  Prior to his teaching and coaching days, Eric was the director of Recreational and Athletic programming for the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center (CYC) for several years.  He is also currently a PIAA varsity basketball official in the Wyoming valley Basketball Official’s Association.  Eric has the pleasure of attending and directing the camp in the company of his two children, Lydia Maria and Evan Robert.

 

How do I make sure I get to bunk with my friends?

On the application form, please list the people with whom you would like to share a cabin. 

 

If you are sending a large group/team, please let us know, in writing, at least two weeks before Camp starts. Each cabin can house 12 campers and one live-in counselor.


What happens after I send in my application?

We will mail you a confirmation letter, a list of what to bring, directions to Camp, and a physical form, which must be completed by your physician within 1 year of attending Camp. Your balance will be due at registration, when you arrive at Camp.

What is the cost of the Camp?

A week of Basketball Camp costs $285.

The girls' Traditional Residential Camp costs $285.

The Father-Son Weekend costs $185, with an additional $60 for each additional son.

A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required with application!
